Our Retreat Facilities
A collection of spaces designed to support your retreat experience fully
Life at our UK retreat unfolds across the historic buildings of Ruxton Farm. Once a working farm with a stone mill and horse stables, these characterful spaces now host yoga sessions, Ayurvedic treatments, and shared meals. Surrounded by open countryside, the retreat offers welcoming places for practice, relaxation, and quiet moments throughout your stay.

Our Yoga Hall
Set within the historic stone mill, this light-filled space offers a calm and grounding setting for daily practice.
Our yoga hall is set inside the old stone mill, where the high roof reveals the original wooden beams overhead. Natural light fills the space during daily yoga and meditation sessions. From the windows, you can look across the green countryside towards the historic Hoarwithy church rising gently among the trees.

Our Buddha Hall
A space for chanting, meditation and reflection
Once an old Second World War bomb shelter, this space has been carefully transformed into a serene hall for morning chanting and meditation practice. At its heart stands a granite Buddha statue, an exact replica of the statue gifted to our Sri Lanka centre by a revered Buddhist monk. It serves as a gentle reminder of the infinite potential of the human mind to cultivate inner peace.

Our Treatment Rooms
Bringing the authentic atmosphere of Ayurveda to the UK centre.
Traditional wooden treatment beds for therapies such as Shirodhara and herbal steam treatments were brought from Sri Lanka. As warm herbal oils are prepared and applied by our therapists, their natural aroma fills the space, creating a deeply immersive setting for Ayurvedic healing.

Relaxing spaces
Relax in the farmhouse living room beside a traditional wood-burning fireplace, with a cosy reading library offering a quiet space to slow down and unwind. Or settle into the light-filled conservatory, surrounded by plants, and enjoy a hot cup of freshly picked herbal tea as you take in the stillness of the surroundings.

Our gardens
The gardens at Ruxton Farm are at the beginning of a two-year transformation, evolving into a space of beauty, abundance, and connection with nature. Wander through over 100 David Austin roses, explore our vegetable and flower gardens, fruit orchards, and woodland pathways down to the River Wye as the land gently comes to life.
