Healing is approached by seeing the body and mind as one.
Through Ayurveda and supportive lifestyle practices, balance is gently restored, digestion strengthened, and the deeper causes of illness addressed so the body can return naturally to health and wellbeing.

During your consultation our doctors consider your digestion, diet, sleep, and emotional wellbeing. We believe that how you think, feel, and live directly influences your internal balance.
Your journey combines traditional therapies with practical guidance. By understanding the wider picture of your health, we can identify deeper imbalances and support lasting healing through personalised nutrition, yoga, meditation, and natural rhythms.

We often begin by preparing your system through nourishing food and herbal remedies, moving into targeted therapies once your body is ready. You will receive guidance throughout your stay, supported by a calm environment designed to quiet the mind and settle the nervous system.
We also focus on strengthening your “digestive fire” and helping your body eliminate what it no longer needs. Many conditions begin when digestion is weakened and toxins accumulate; by addressing these root causes, we allow your body to repair and rebalance itself from the inside out.

They support you through a wide range of concerns ranging from minor issues to chronic or accute illnesses.
While Ayurveda can often resolve a condition, it also provides vital symptom relief and improves quality of life alongside conventional treatments. An equally important part is teaching you to relate to your condition remembering the mind and body are both needed for true healing.

We believe our health, wellbeing and environment are all interconnected. Driven by kindness and inspired by ancestral roots and indigenous practices, our philosophy links together these six pillars, not just through the heart, body and mind but also through community, earth and spirit.
Emotional wellbeing must be the very start of every journey. We begin with loving kindness, understanding that good health is much more than just the body. Using our safe and loving environment you will have the space to reflect on how you deal with emotions. Inspired by Buddhist teachings, our serene sanctuary helps you find the tools for inner peace, uplifted balance and soulful transformation.
Any change in the body causes an effect on our thinking; to reshape our overall wellbeing, we must therefore also take care of our minds. Ayurveda offers medicinal remedies while yoga, meditation, wisdom talks, a calming environment and the company of empaths combine to soothe and sharpen our life views.
Nutrition, lifestyle and sleep are needed for a healthy body. We focus on fresh, organic food prepared by our Ayurvedic doctors using Ayurveda principles. Regular yoga helps our internal systems function better; paired with calm evenings and tranquil environments, sleep is improved, too.
We are not just a retreat but a social enterprise that funds our own charity, The Metta Trust alongside UK mental health organisations. We believe that Plantation Villa belongs to all, and our communities are a vital part of our philosophy, from the Sri Lankan staff and school children we support to the local community that surround our Herefordshire retreat.
Inner journeys begin by connecting not just with people, but with animals and nature, each depending on the other. We know that a natural environment supports good mental and physical health and our commitment helps protect nature through careful reforestation and preservation of wildlife.
Spirituality is the conclusion of our path, the lived experience of unity where meaning, truth and the self become one, leading to a lasting sense of fulfillment. By keeping the mind calm, the body healthy and the self connected to nature, we can shape the meaning we give to life.

Every journey is unique. We offer a range of retreats designed to support your specific goals, whether you are addressing a chronic health concern or simply looking to restore your energy. We are here to help you choose the programme that best fits your needs and your pace.
