Each of our retreats is designed to meet you exactly where you are on your personal journey toward wellbeing. People come to us for many different reasons — and whatever your intention, we are here to support you.
Perhaps you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed and are simply seeking time to pause, breathe, and reconnect. Maybe you would like to lose weight, re-establish a healthy routine, or bring more balance into your daily life. Some guests visit to find emotional support or to explore mindfulness and Buddhist philosophies as tools for inner peace and personal growth. Others come for healing — whether from physical imbalances, acute injuries, or chronic conditions — and receive personalised Ayurvedic treatments and wellness programs tailored to their unique needs.
If you’re unsure which retreat is right for you, we are always happy to help. You can reach our friendly team via WhatsApp or email, and if you would like, we can arrange an online consultation with our Ayurvedic doctor before your arrival (additional charges apply). This helps us create a personalised plan and recommend the retreat package that best supports your goals and wellbeing.
To enhance your stay, we offer a range of optional wellness experiences at our UK retreat centre.
You may choose from a variety of Ayurvedic treatments such as steam baths, Shirodhara, body scrubs, Abhyanga massage, Pinda Sweda, and Nasya. We also provide Life Coaching and Yoga Therapy sessions, as well as the opportunity to have a personal consultation with our Ayurvedic doctor.
Guests can also purchase Ayurvedic oils, detox packs, and herbal medicines to continue their self-care journey at home.
You are welcome to view our Spa Menu for full details of available treatments. To book, simply email bookinguk@plantationvilla.com before your arrival, or speak with one of our yoga teachers or Ayurvedic doctor onsite. Payments are kindly taken prior to your treatment.
This retreat offers an experience closer to an ashram-style stay rather than a luxury hotel getaway. It is a spiritual and homely environment — simple, comfortable, and deeply nurturing. There is a quiet luxury in its simplicity, where everything is designed to support your healing, learning, and inner peace.
This is not a place to indulge in material comforts, but a space to discover how to create a truly happy life through mindfulness, Ayurveda, yoga, and connecting to nature.
If you are used to visiting many retreats, we encourage you to arrive with an open heart and no comparisons. Plantation Villa offers something a little different — a place where care, authenticity, and thoughtfulness are woven into every detail of your stay.
Our meals are Ayurvedic in nature, thoughtfully designed by Ayurvedic doctors to bring balance and nourishment to the body and mind. Every dish is 100% plant-based, vegan, and gluten-free, prepared without refined sugars or preservatives to support gentle cleansing and wellbeing.
We prepare each meal with freshly cooked ingredients, using spices from Sri Lanka and vegetables handpicked from our own garden. These are lovingly combined with authentic Sri Lankan recipes to create dishes that are both deeply nourishing and full of flavour.
Our daily menu follows Ayurvedic principles — starting the day with a light breakfast, enjoying a wholesome and satisfying lunch, and ending with a gentle, lighter dinner to support good digestion and restful sleep.
If you have specific dietary needs, we’re happy to accommodate them — simply let us know in advance.
Our yoga classes are suitable for all levels — from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. Each session is tailored to meet you where you are, with guidance to support your personal pace and ability.
The main style we teach is Vinyasa Krama, a mindful, breath-based approach rooted in the Krishnamacharya tradition. Unlike the fast-paced flow often associated with Vinyasa, our practice focuses on gentle, therapeutic movements coordinated with smooth, steady breathing to create balance and ease in the body.
Our teachers also bring experience in modern Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga, offering a well-rounded approach that combines mindful awareness, strength, and relaxation. Every class concludes with calming meditation, helping you to integrate the practice and return to stillness.
Our retreat offers a range of comfortable and peaceful rooms designed to help you relax and unwind.
We have bright and spacious shared quad or triple rooms for females only, each with its own ensuite bathroom. There are also shared twin rooms with private bathrooms, available for both male and female guests. For those seeking a little more privacy, we offer private single or double rooms, some with shared bathrooms and others with private bathrooms.
All rooms are airy, comfortably furnished, and filled with natural light, offering a tranquil space to rest and reflect. Many overlook the beautiful countryside and river vistas, immersing you in the calm surroundings of nature.
Our retreat is held at Plantation Villa, Ruxton Farm, Kings Caple, Hereford HR1 4TX, nestled in the beautiful Wye Valley — a peaceful countryside setting surrounded by rolling fields and gentle river views.
If you’re driving, we’re just off the A49 — around 10 minutes south of Hereford and 15 minutes north of Ross-on-Wye. There’s free parking available on-site.
If you’re travelling by train, the nearest stations are Hereford (about 20 minutes away) and Gloucester (around 40 minutes). From either station, it’s a pleasant drive through scenic country lanes — you can take a taxi or arrange a private transfer, and we’re happy to share contact details for trusted local drivers who offer good rates.
For those arriving by air, the closest airports are Cardiff International (CWL), Birmingham International (BHX), and Bristol Airport (BRS) — each roughly 1.5 hours away.
While we don’t provide airport transfers, we’ll be happy to recommend trusted local taxi companies to make your journey smooth and stress-free.
