Daily yoga practice breath-based gentle movements, focusing on the harmonious balance between muscles & joints. The practice also includes elements to enliven and energise yet working to your ability.

Day Retreats

We also offer Day Retreats for our non-residential guests. Whilst a residential retreat is a more immersive experience and helps one to cut-off from their daily life and focus completely on oneself, we do understand that for some of you this may not be possible. The day retreats offer our guests an opportunity to experience and learn from our retreats and we are always here to support you even after you leave. The Day Retreat schedule is as follows:

  • 7.00am Chanting and Meditation
  • 8.00am Morning yoga
  • 9.00am Meditation
  • 9.30am Ayurvedic Breakfast
  • 10.00am-1.00pm Free time for treatments, relaxation and to enjoy our facilities
  • 1.00pm – Ayurvedic Lunch
  • 3.30pm – Afternoon Activity
  • 5.00pm – Evening Yoga
  • 6.00pm – Evening Meditation

Day retreat starts with the morning chanting but for guests who may find it hard to arrive this early are welcome to come for morning yoga onwards. The day retreat ends at 6.30pm after Evening Meditation.

Ayurvedic treatments we offer can detoxify the body, revitalise internal organs, heal ailments and reconnect the mind and body. Below is a description of some of our key treatments and their benefits:

Ayurveda Doctor Consultation:
This 50-minute session allows the doctor to assess your unique body constitution, its state of balance and any ailments. You will receive guidance on the best daily routine, dietary advice, and, if necessary, prescribed treatments and medicines. After the consultation, you will receive a written summary of the doctor’s assessment, along with a personalised nutrition plan if deemed needed.
Shirodhara:
A deeply relaxing treatment where warm oil is poured over the forehead for an extended period. Shirodhara is used to calm the nerves, balance hormones, release stored emotions, and purify the mind. It can help with fatigue, mental exhaustion, anxiety, insomnia, headaches, excessive thinking, and nervousness.
Massage Therapy:
This treatment involves the application of warm, herb-infused oils to the body. Abhyanga helps the skin, the body’s largest organ, to release toxins and absorb nourishment. It loosens deep-seated toxins in the joints and tissues, which are then eliminated from the body. This treatment nourishes, strengthens, and lubricates the joints, making them more resilient to wear and tear.
Pinda Sweda Therapy:
A rejuvenating treatment where the body is massaged with hot cotton boluses made of herbs and rice. This therapy helps to rejuvenate,
strengthen, and nourish the body, improve blood circulation, increase suppleness, and relieve joint stiffness and swelling.
Steam Bath and Inhalation:
This Ayurvedic steam bath exposes the body to steam, helping to flush out impurities, reduce obesity, and treat skin conditions. The treatment cleanses the skin, opens pores, and helps slow the ageing process by stimulating the skin.
Scrubs:
A body scrub made of ground herbs or pulses mixed with oil to cleanse the skin and improve circulation. This treatment also aids in weight loss and is most effective when followed by a steam bath.
Treatments for Aches & Pains of Joints and Muscles:
We offer various treatments for joint and muscle pain, tailored to your specific condition. It is recommended to consult with our Ayurvedic doctor for the best treatment approach.
Hair & Head Treatments:
A head massage with nourishing hair oil followed by a hair mask. This treatment promotes hair growth, prevents premature greying and hair loss, and nourishes the brain, reducing headaches, insomnia, and stress.
Ayurvedic Treatments for Sinus, Congestion, Phlegm, and Headaches:
A face and neck massage followed by hot fomentation with herbs and nasal drops. This treatment is beneficial for relieving sinusitis, phlegm, and respiratory conditions. After treatment, avoid cold drinks and bathing for the rest of the day.
Ayurvedic Facial and Beauty:
This treatment includes cleansing, face massage, and a face mask and scrub. It clears dead skin, removes deeply deposited dirt, improves circulation, and nourishes the skin, leaving it bright and healthy.
