There will be a consultation and a follow-up discussion with Plantation Villa’s Ayurvedic doctor via Zoom, Facetime, or Whatsapp.
You will receive a full plan for your retreat with all the materials to download in advance. Your daily schedule will be according to the Ayurvedic recommended daily routine but you can also accommodate it according to your work activities. Ideally, Plantation Villa recommends you taking 3 days off to completely immerse in the retreat and follow the timetable they have given.
During the retreat, you will also have 6 guided yoga classes with meditations (1 hour), 2 additional guided meditations (30-min), 3 cookery classes of Ayurvedic meals, 2 wisdom talks, and 2 sessions of Ayurveda. These are sessions that have been pre-recorded.
The objective of this retreat to help you understand your mind, its nature to roam around and need stimulation, and how to control it to gain happiness and a sense of wellness. Plantation Villa is aiming to provide more than just a 3-day retreat – they want to teach you a way of life. The ancient teachings of yoga and Ayurveda help us understand and mobilize and maintain our body and mind in a way that brings us health and wellness, which can keep us happy, fulfilled, and bright.
The ancient practices of yoga and meditation is a key component of embracing a more mindful lifestyle. Yoga and meditation allow the body to restore, improve, and develop in a harmony of mind, body, and spirit. You will be introduced and practice yoga and meditation each morning and evening with Plantation Villa’s experienced yoga instructor, Bernardo. It also contains explanations and guidelines for you to learn and implement in your daily practice and life. Bernardo aims to give you more than just a 1-hour class, but a transformation of your relationship with yourself. Each class has been recorded at Plantation Villa’s yoga hall so you will be able to enjoy the amazing sound of nature and beautiful birds singing during your practice.
Vedic scripts including Ayurveda, yoga, and Buddhism consist of a lot of wisdom on how to be healthy in a way that the mind and body are light and bright and work in harmony and to find true happiness and inner peace.
Ayurveda incorporates a holistic approach to health. It places great emphasis on prevention and encourages the maintenance of health through close attention to balance in one’s life, right thinking, diet, and lifestyle. This balance is believed to lead to happiness and health, and to help prevent illness.
The Plantation Villa’s Ayurvedic doctors are extremely knowledgeable and are some of the leading physicians in the country. They believe in the holistic approach of Ayurveda and the strong connection between the body and mind. They are passionate about what they do and stay true to the original teachings in their practices.
You will receive private consultations with one of Plantation Villa’s Ayurvedic doctor where you will learn more about your body constitution, what is best for your health, best lifestyle for your, and food recommendations. You are also provided talks by the Ayurvedic doctors to learn more about the philosophy and science of Ayurveda so you can better apply it to your life, even after the retreat.
Plantation Villa will provide you recipes for every single meal of your retreat including video cookery classes of nutritionally balanced Ayurvedic vegan meals with minimum oil and no artificial flavorings which were created by Plantation Villa’s team of doctors. You will see how your body reacts positively as you feel lighter and healthier with the food and the ayurvedic guidance that you can later incorporate into your own daily food routine.
The live session will happen according to Sri Lanka time (GMT+5:30). You will be provided with details of how your daily life can be structured as recommended by Ayurveda and yoga. You can use the timeline as guided and structure the day as per your preference
For this retreat, food recommendations personalized according to your constitution and your actual state of health are provided. There will also be a complete meal program for each day, along with recipes for balanced Ayurvedic vegan meals personalized to you. 3 cookery classes of Ayurvedic meals so you can learn step by step how to cook them are also available
